Why should I send my documents to GoodWords?

Spelling and grammar-checking software often misses errors and stylistic weaknesses that detract from the impact of your writing. Mistakes can look unprofessional.

Awkwardness of phrasing can confuse and hide your great ideas.

An editor’s touch can clear away errors or flaws so that your writing accurately communicates your thoughts.

A good editing job can mean the difference between a C paper and an A paper or between making the sale and losing it to someone with a cleaner proposal.

Will you write my term paper, report or proposal for me?

Term papers & reports: We will gladly help you through the editing process for any type of writing. We will even consult with you one on one on how to develop your ideas into a clear, well-organized document. One of us used to teach English, after all. However, we cannot produce your thoughts for you, nor can we do your research for you. In creating your own original work, you develop your own mind, and we could not in good conscience take that from you, nor could we allow a person to receive credit for work he or she did not complete.

In other words, we’re an ethical shop, and we don’t promote plagiarism.

Business reports & proposals: Sure! We can proofread and edit your existing work, or we can write to suit your needs. Visit the business services page for more information.

How soon can you get my document back to me?

We anticipate returning most documents within three business days. We would like to take the time needed to ensure that we have made all the necessary corrections to your text. However, depending on our workload, we can take rush orders to return documents overnight or by the end of a business day. Expedited service requires a premium of 30% over our usual fee.

Very long documents or documents with unusually high numbers of errors will take longer for us to process.

How can I get my paper to you?

We accept most major word-processing formats, including Microsoft Word. If you use something really obscure, please contact us before sending your document. You may submit your document online or, if you prefer, you may also mail, fax or deliver documents to us in person. If you have hand-written your document, we can type it for you.

How will you return my document to me?

You have a few options. You may request that we return your document marked but not rewritten. You may request that we make the changes we deem necessary and return a clean copy. You may request that we return both a marked copy and a rewritten copy to you. If you would like your document in a format not listed here, please tell us and we will make every effort to accommodate you.

How am I going to pay for this?

At this time, we can accept credit card payments through PayPal. We also accept cash or check, but please only use cash if you are one of our “in-person” customers. We request that you pay all fees within two weeks of completion of the revision.

What if I want to make more changes?

We will provide you with up to three proofs of your document. If you need to make further revisions after the third proof, we will gladly continue to work on it for an additional charge.
